These girls were such fun to work with.

Photo Challenge | Happiness

The photo below is being submitted for the I Heart Faces photo challenge, theme "Happiness". Now, if this beautiful baby's smile, all dressed in white and pink, doesn't make you happy, I don't know what will. :-)

Miley and Vera

Miley and Vera - Friends from birth. Watching these two beautiful babies grow up has been amazing to me. I was so fortunate to be able to take their 9 and 10 month photos. Poor little Miley took a nose dive out of the chair, and scraped up her nose. However, the shoot must go on! Thank you to moms, Michelle and Jaime, for sharing their precious little girls.

KT Fitness Logo and Business Card Creation

Katie asked for a logo to display the multitude of fitness aspects she is involved with. Her company trains in group fitness programs, Pre/Post natal yoga, intermediate flow yoga, private swim lessons and triathlon coaching. My design work consisted of logo and business card.

Kale Naturals - Brochure and Insert Design

Kale Naturals is a new brand to Dallas, that are "uncomplicated and earth-friendly products, enriched with unique ingredients". Kale Naturals was inspired by the desire to create a modern men’s line that is superior in quality and performance. The women spent two years researching, creating, modifying, and testing formulas. The duo chose to use natural, naturally-derived, and gentle ingredients instead of widely-used harsh, chemical foaming agents and preservatives.

I created their marketing brochure, along with inserts and business cards. I also set up their files in Microsoft Word to enable price changes to be made with ease.

Mom's Post-Cancer Photo Shoot

This was a photo shoot that was so near and dear to my heart. Meet my beautiful mother, Ruth, who fought and beat Ovarian Cancer at the age of 56! 2011 was such a tough year for our family, but we made it through it with the help of many loved ones. This shoot was done about two months after Ruth's last chemo treatment. We are loving her stylish new short hair, a style that Ruth would never have been brave enough to pull off pre-chemo! Imbirikani School for Girls

The Imbirkani High School in Kenya was begun in 2004 as a result of a study commissioned by Clyde and Betsy Jackson to investigate the educational needs of Maasai children in the Imbirikani Group Ranch area of southwest Kenya. Approximately 10,000 Massai live in the area. The study showed that a high school for girls was badly needed. 98% of the girls in this area do not have any educational opportunity after primary school and most enter into early marriage (ages 14-15) and are then subjected to a life of child bearing and hard physical labor. The Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) owns and operates the school. God willing, the master plan for the school envisions two additional dorms and related facilities to be built over the next two years that will house up to 400 girls.

I am honored to be able to help with such an honorable organization. For more information on the Imbirikani School for girls, please click here.

Travis Ranch Plat Map

The plat for the masterplanned community of Travis Ranch in Forney needed updating. Due to a lack of a workable format, I had to create the entire plat from a jpeg! OUCH!

Massage Therapy by Melony

This logo was made to help my sister start to market her massage business.

Calendar 2010

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the 2009 Calendar, I was asked to create another calendar with the same theme for 2010. I used the same layout and just came up with new interesting places to travel to use as the calendar images. The comments from the customers who received the calendars were very positive. They love that they can learn about new, interesting places and actually have a pretty calendar to hang in their office as opposed to an industry specific calendar. After all, who wants to look at a picture of a sprinkler for a month?

2009 Calendar

I was asked to create a 2009 calendar for a current client. After a lot of persuading, I was able to talk them out of creating an industry specific calendar, and to think outside of the box and allow me to design something that their clients and prospects would actually be thrilled to hang on their wall. The company’s logo and contact information hang below the back page, so that they are constantly exposing their brand image and contact info on a super cool calendar. ;-)

All of the destinations that I choose for the calendar were places that I have always had an infatuation for and would love to visit someday.
